LINE LOCATING SERVICES

Prairie Dawg Line Locating

We offer private and commercial locating services for underground lines, pipes, culverts and more.

Private locates help prevent utility damage, identifies utilities not recorded, and decreases the overall cost of your project.

Private Utility Locates are needed for any underground service not owned by a Public Utility.

Some examples are:

• gas lines,
• oil pipelines,
• electric lines,
• water irrigation lines,
• private lighting,
• pools,
• hot tubs,
• detached garage power,
• fiberoptic
• and others.

Prairie Dawg Line Locating identifies underground utilities that are known and unknown.

Utility colour codes are used to identify which service is below.

Coloured flags and lines are used to mark the location and type of utility. In Saskatchewan we follow the American Public Works Association (APWA) uniform colour codes for temporary markings, listed below.
